An Indoor Street Festival and Photography
Exhibition
Hove Town Hall
Saturday 3rd May
11am – 3pm
Free Admission
Women and children are invited to celebrate a Street Festival with
a difference on May 3rd.
The festival will be packed with live entertainment, local Sussex
produce, complimentary therapists,
Egyptian dancing, community information stalls plus the chance to
sample some delicious
international food. The street festival will also launch:
A photography exhibition
Transformations: a day in our lives.
The exhibition features images taken by young people who use the
Women’s Refuge Project
in Brighton. This event is International Women’s Day’s
annual community event,
an important opportunity for women and their children to come along
to
an exciting and informative women only event. The event itself is
free although
donations are welcome and free childcare is available. We want this
event to be accessible
to all women, whatever their circumstances. The event will recreate
a
vibrant street festival and will feature a wealth of community information.
The event is organised by Brighton & Hove’s International
Women’s Day group
working with the Women’s Refuge Project.
