International
Women’s Day (IWD) group is a non-profit organisation
working to celebrate and support the diversity and achievements
of women. This is done through the arts, workshops, talks,
networking, debate, participating projects and organisations.
IWD has been celebrated on 8th March since 1908 and is now
recognised in more than 80 countries. It offers an opportunity
for change taking into account the social, cultural, economic
and political issues that concern women today. Women have
celebrated this day in Brighton and Hove for nearly 20 years.
International
Women's Day is a women-only event (boys up
to 13 years old)
giving
women the opportunity to meet others from different backgrounds,
ages and cultures.
This years community event will include:

Japanese performance
Debates & Discussions
Debating forum
Intenational Womens' Debate
Workshops, film & discussion with Wi Fi link up

coffees and nutritious snacks
Free Creche (2-7 year olds)
